The Amplified Navigator of the Seas with Kids

We have recently discovered our love of cruising and everything Royal Caribbean. We were so excited to be able to check out the newly amplified Navigator of the Seas back in March!  We hopped on board and couldn’t wait to check out their NEWLY amplified pool deck, the bright colors and happy vibes immediately set the tone for an amazing 9 days ahead!

So what changes were made on Navigator of the Seas? We are here to walk you through them!

Amplified Pool Deck

If this bright and vibrant pool deck doesn’t get you excited, then I don’t know what will! A variety of bars and food options have also been conveniently placed around the pool area. To refresh yourself after a good swim, there’s the 3-story Lime and Coconut bar, where live music is often playing from as well. To satisfy some cravings, you can find a Johnny Rockets Express serving burgers, fries, and shakes, or you can get some delicious Mexican food from El Loco Fresh. There is also an ice cream dispenser right next to the Lime and Coconut, so you basically have everything you need to spend a whole sea day on the pool deck!

Lime and Coconut

The new pool deck is surrounded with fun starting with the new Lime and Coconut Bar you can see in the background. It is 3 stories of wonderful drinks with close access to the pool.

Splash Pad

There is no better way to beat the heat and for kids to burn off their energy then the new splash pad! There are two sections to the Splash Pad, one for older kids and one for young children.

Relaxation

If running in the splash zone isn’t your thing grab a chair and soak up the sun!

Johnny Rockets Express

If Burgers are your thing Johnny Rockets right next to pool needs to be a stop on your list! They were AMAZING and perfectly paired with a milkshake!

El Loco Fresh

This was a favorite stop of ours as you can make your own tacos or nachos quickly all while in your swimsuit!

Soft Serve Ice Cream

No day is complete for our family without a stop at Soft Serve for amazing ice cream and family memories!

2 New Water Slides

Riptide

The Riptide is an exhilarating mat ride where you will be both in enclosed tubes and open tubes with endless ocean views.  It will give you kids endless fun!  If you don’t want to wait in line be sure to go at dinner time!

The Blaster

This is Royal Caribbean’s first aqua coaster!  It offers a 2 person tube ride that goes out over the side of the ship for a fun ride!  It is the longest water slide at sea (800+ ft) and we can’t wait to ride it! To ride you must be at least 45″  tall, with anyone under 48″ requiring that they ride with an adult. Note: This image is from Royal Caribbean and will be replaced once we get the chance to ride it.

New Family Fun

Laser Tag with Battle for Planet Z

What family doesn’t love a fun game of laser tag!  It got pretty competitive for our family, but we had the best time! The Studio B show area gets transformed into a laser tag arena, and each game lasts around 10 minutes.

Mini Golf

If running around laser tag isn’t your thing, try out a fun round of mini golf!  It is perfect for all ages and keeps the kids happy!

Adventure Ocean (Kid’s Club)

While we love making memories with our kiddos, it is also always fun to have some time away!  The new kids club was one of our kids’ favorite activities. I love that they combined age groups into one large area and our 2 kids, who are 3 and 6, could stay together. Note: your kids must be potty trained to stay at Adventure Ocean.  There is a separate nursery area for younger children, but has an hourly rate.

Newly Amplified Teen Area

We don’t have teens so didn’t check out this area, but am sure it is the perfect place!

Other New Dining & Features

Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade

Hooked

Jamie’s Italian

Jamie’s Italian can be found right next to the Windjammer Restaurant and has delicious options created by Jamie Oliver himself!

Bamboo Room

The Bamboo Room is a fun Tiki-style Bar found on the Royal Promenade, and had some of the more creative cocktails on the ship!

To Dry For

This blow-dry bar is perfect for getting your hair done after a long excursion day and can be found on the Royal Promenade.

Final Thoughts

We were pretty much blown away by how beautiful and well-placed everything looked on the Amplified Navigator of the Seas. The new restaurants and activities made cruising days comfortable, our stateroom looked great, and the kids had a great time throughout our entire cruising adventure. We highly recommend checking it out if you are planning a cruise!
